Contracts & Chartering Manager - Marine

Job Description and Requirements

• Liaising with customers (Marine Brokers, Vessel Owners and other stakeholders in the Marine and non-marine Industries). 
• Establish and manage relationships with Charterers for all operational activities and identify further and/or new opportunities to develop the business further. 
• Strategically identify and cater to the shipping requirements by ensure optimal utilization of the Marine Master fleet portfolio within the marine segment. 
• Identify/establish long term objectives and strategically manage, 
• Complete/fill tenders, Charter party agreements, review & negotiate new contracts Prepare, Submit.
• Follow up offers Ensure Vessel Utilization Ensure difficult post fixture issues
• Cases of claims/dispute with Owners or third parties are efficiently. 
• Fairly dealt with Continually seek to improve work processes • Best practices to provide better service level to customers 
• To work closely with the Operation and technical manager to ensure operation effectiveness and efficiencies maximizing Fleet utilization. 
• Responsible for the marketing of our tonnage to designated customers in conjunction with, or as, the coordinator. 
• Negotiate spot fixtures/time charter to achieve optimal returns for principals 
• Monitor market trends and assess viability of possible business opportunities and provide recommendations to management for further course of action 
• Identify customer needs and expectations through relationship management 
• Liaise with Technical, Fleet & Operations teams to address related issues arising in the pre/post fixing process 
• Responsible for reporting and updating customer chartering activities, personnel and fleet changes and maintaining updated customer information files for assigned customers 
• Joint responsibility in reporting and maintaining databases and records 
• Manage and supervise all bunker procurement and review reports issued to senior management on a quarterly basis.
• Responsible for monitoring the Bunker /clean market chartering developments (as required). 
• Actively participate in the development of the quality management system and engage in the process for the continuous improvement of departmental procedures
